Review: Guittard ‘Real Milk Chocolate Chips’

American chocolate is a world on to itself.

Nothing like its European counterparts for weeks I have searched for the chocolate experience which leaves you kneeling on the floor begging for more…

And now, finally I have found it!

These chocolate chips are little pearls of joy, with the creamiest of taste, and the slightest hint of vanilla they melt on the tongue to reveal a soft world of chocolate indulgence. The perfect companion to a hearty Zinfndel, the only problem you will have with these chocolate drops is the packet will be gone before you get to the bottle of wine.

Grape information:

Vermentino is a late-ripening white grape which is thought to originate from Madiera or Spain, however is now mostly planted in Corsica, Sardinia and through Tuscany.

The leaves are pentagonal in shape and of a dark green, while the grapes are an amber yellow in colour. Vines are often grown on sea facing slopes so that they can benefit from the reflected light.
